The Grote Markt is the bustling heart of Breda, also during the Breda Jazz Festival. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere and lots of terraces, you don't need to look any further because the music plays here from the afternoon until late at night.

    Willem Merkxtuin

The Willem Merkxtuin is a hidden gem in the city centre of Breda, a quiet garden at the back of the special townhouses of Catharinastraat. Normally, you come here for the peace and the artworks. During the Jazz Festival, it becomes an intimate place where you go to truly enjoy the music.

New this year are two stages at Kasteelplein. Do you love dancing? Then Kasteelplein north stage will be your favourite spot! Here, plenty of swing music is played for the swing dancers like the Lindy Hoppers.

Mention Rhythm & Blues, and you're talking about Kerkplein. On the stage between the Bruine Pij and the Grote Kerk, many young people find their favourite bands. Sometimes it can get quite crowded here. That's how popular this place is among music lovers.
This year, there is a new feature where the stage is reserved for school bands from Mencia, OLV, Curio, Stedelijk Gymnasium, and Markenhage starting from 11:30 on Friday.
